Our Estimate Process

We offer two estimate processes to best suit your project needs

Option #1 – Free Estimate Process

Option #1 – Free Estimate Process

Fill out the contact form to send us photos of your project

The first step of working together is to reach out to us by filling out the contact form. The form will ask you to attached 3 pictures of your project area and leave a description. This will let us know the major highlights of your project. If you can add measurements too, that would be great! The more information you can provide, the better.

Projects we do include:

  • Koi pond construction
  • Swim ponds
  • Fountainscapes
  • Pondless water features
  • Natural stone retaining walls
  • Natural stone steps and pathways
  • Erosion and drainage solutions

We’ll have a phone consultation

After receiving the photos or video, we can talk through the options for your project. We will make recommendations based on the improvements detailed in the photos/ video.

The phone call normally takes 20-30 minutes. At the end of the call, you’ll have all the necessary information to make a buying decision. A budget estimate is included.

We’ll meet on-site

If you decide to partner with us to bring your project to life and agree that the budget we discussed makes sense, the next step is an on-site meeting. We will visit your home or project site to make sure nothing was missed during the phone consultation. We will then finalize the paperwork in order to schedule your project.

We work with people in the following Missouri cities:

  • Kansas City, MO
  • Belton, MO
  • Greenwood, MO
  • Loch Lloyd, MO

Option #2 – On-Site Estimate Process

Option #2 – On-Site Estimate Process

After submitting the contact form, we’ll go ahead and schedule an on-site visit

We’ll gather at your project site first to look over and discuss options. This includes measurements, elevation shots, project layout with flags or paint, etc. You now own this information, and it will be yours to use as you wish.

Our local on-site consultations start at $250. Afterwards, you have up to 30 days to apply the consultation fee toward the project’s initial deposit.

If you decide while we are on site to move forward with your project and choose Gradex Company as your contractor, the consultation will be provided free of charge.

Bob Kerr and his team are a welcomed relief from most contractor experiences – honest, on price and on time. And the work is simply outstanding. I’ve already passed his name along to a number of friends and neighbors. I’ll be calling Bob if I have any jobs in the future.

-Jim D.

Bob gave me a very realistic plan for work that needed to be done. His crew did a great job and project came out just the way we wanted!

Once the project starts, the contractor must adhere to the provided quote. If there’s a need for changes in the work scope or price, contractors must document these changes and communicate them to you. They can legally proceed only after you’ve accepted these changes.

Estimates provide a rough idea of what to expect, while quotes offer a more definite price for a specific time period.

The contractor should take about 3-5 days to get back to you with an estimate for your project, depending on the scope of your project.
