Our Story

Bob Kerr started working in the outdoor space in 2000. What started as basic concrete work and septic systems transformed into an outdoor living lifestyle.

Along the way, he discovered a passion for rock. He realized how creative you can be with it, and loved the idea of working with a medium that stands the test of time.

It’s out of this passion, in 2008, that Gradex was born.

Bob’s core expertise lies in rock and retaining walls, but he’s always had a special love for water. That’s why over the years he has incorporated ponds and water features into his services. Now he designs and builds high-end outdoor living spaces for homeowners and businesses across the greater Kansas City area.

In 2018, Bob’s wife, Melissa, joined the team. When you reach out you will probably chat with her first!

Together, Bob and Melissa pride themselves on bringing a one-of-a-kind experience that centers around talent, expertise, problem-solving, and client satisfaction.

They live in Peculiar, MO continuously perfecting The Gradex Way so that they can help you transform your home and your life in the best way possible.
